Product Warranty – Limited Coverage Overview

General Warranty Provisions

The manufacturer warrants that its products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use and service. Warranty periods and coverage vary depending on the product type and the manufacturer specifications provided at the time of order.

Insulated Glass Units (Dual or Triple Glazed)

Dual- or triple-glazed insulated glass units (IGUs) are warranted against seal failure, internal condensation, and material obstruction for the period specified by the manufacturer. Damage caused by stress cracks, impact, building movement, or improper installation by non-authorized installers is not covered.

Frames & Sashes

Frame and sash components are warranted against warping, peeling, blistering, and structural defects per the product-specific manufacturer warranty. Coverage periods vary for vinyl windows, aluminum, hybrid, and other frame materials.

Hardware

Operational hardware—including operators, locks, hinges, rollers, and latches—is warranted against mechanical failure for the duration defined by the manufacturer. Surface wear or finish deterioration due to environmental exposure is not covered.

Paint & Finishes

Factory-applied paint and finish coatings are warranted against peeling, cracking, excessive fading, or blistering within the limits set by the manufacturer. Natural aging, minor colour variation, and environment-related fading are not considered defects. Damage caused by harsh chemicals or improper cleaning is excluded.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized repairs, modifications, installation performed by non-approved parties, natural disasters, or building settlement. The warranty does not apply to products installed outside the manufacturer’s environmental or structural specifications.

Maintenance Requirements

Proper maintenance is required to preserve warranty coverage.
